Make Your Sky Pop in Photoshop with Two Quick Adjustments
► Go to frb.li/5ddn17 to get the Complete Photography Bundle and my bonus.
-----
In this tutorial, I will show you a way to enhance your sky quickly and effectively with two adjustment layers that target specifically the blue colors. We will use a targeted Hue/Saturation layer and a Selective Color layer to make it look like we had a polarization filter on our lens when we were shooting the photo.

Sky Replacement in Photoshop Without the Ugly Edges
► frb.li/asfga When you replace the sky in your images, it can be extremely difficult to get the seams where the sky meets the foreground to look natural. More often than not they’ll look like a bad paper cut-out, and fixing this seems way too difficult. I’ll show you how you can use Photoshop’s “Color Decontaminate…” tool to solve this problem.

Think you've got banding? Photoshop may be fooling you!
► frb.li/wwoga Have you ever worked on an image in Photoshop, adding multiple adjustment layers and then found that your image displays some horrible banding. While banding is a real problem that occurs in some situations, it may also simply be Photoshop that’s playing tricks on you. In this tutorial, I will show you why this happens and what you can do to prevent real banding instead of fixing...
Selective Noise Reduction for Your HDR Images in Lightroom
► frb.li/hdr Most standard HDR workflows have a tendency to increase the noise in your images. In this video, I'll show you how to reduce the noise only in some of your source photos to target specific areas of your final HDR image. This simple technique effectively reduces the noise where it is most prominent without making the rest of the image too soft.
How to Remove Ghosting in Photoshop
► frb.li/offlimits In this video, you will learn how to fix ghosting in Photoshop by clever layer masking, blending and by using the Clone Stamp Tool. Ghosting may appear when you use some kind of HDR technique to blend multiple exposures into a single image. The deghosting features in HDR software may produce varying results and degrade overall image quality to a point where it’s better to not...
How to Correct Converging Lines the Right Way in Lightroom
► frb.li/offlimits Over-correcting your images for converging lines is too easy: Just make everything perfectly straight and your images will not look 'correct', but strange. You know those images of buildings where every vertical line is perfectly straight, right? That's not how we see the world. In this video, I will show you a little trick for correcting your images in Lightroom so that they...
Advanced Sky Selections in Photoshop
► frb.li/offlimits In this video tutorial, I will show you how to create a perfect selection of the skies in your images, even in difficult cases. We're going to use the Channels palette, a Levels adjustment and the Brush Tool in 'Overlay' mode to accomplish that.
How to Turn on the Lights in Your Images in Lightroom
► frb.li/hdr Photographing interiors where you don't have control over the lighting can be a bit of a lottery. In this video, I'll show you how to use Lightroom to turn on the lights and change the lighting after the fact as you wish.
How to Mask a Sky Behind Trees in Lightroom
In this video tutorial, I will show you how to use Lightroom's Adjustment Brush to adjust a sky even if it partially shines through trees. This is a situation that you come across often, and at first glance is seems to be very difficult to create an adjustment that applies precisely to the sky and not to the trees.
Long-Exposure HDR - How to Create it in Post
► frb.li/offlimits In this video tutorial, I will show you how to create a fake long-exposure HDR image in Photomatix. This technique helps you get around the difficulty of creating exposure series using ND filters, it allows you to create a long exposure HDR even if you don't have such a filter, and it allows you to only render the long-exposure effect on some parts of your image while the res...
How to squeeze all the details out of your HDR images
Paradoxically, some HDR software is not very good at squeezing out all the dynamic range in your photos. In this video tutorial, I'll show you a way to prepare your source photos in Lightroom before you take them to Photomatix. This will help you avoid blown out areas in the final HDR image.
How to Create Dramatic Skies in Aurora HDR
► frb.li/hdr The sky is arguably one of the most important elements in most landscape photos. But when your images come straight out of your camera, the sky is often very dull even though you have clouds and nice structures that would really make your final image pop. In this video tutorial, I'm going to show you how to bring out the sky in your images with Aurora HDR without overdoing it and w...
How to Enhance Paintings in Your Images With Lightroom
► frb.li/hdr In this video tutorial, I will show you how to bring paintings in your images (on walls or the ceiling) back to life in Lightroom. Those colorful, stunning pieces of art that you see in churches or museums sometimes lose their awesomeness in your photographs. The colors can look washed out and they may be overpowered by the natural light in the room. There are some simple steps tha...
How to Use Noise Stacking In Your HDR Workflow
► frb.li/hdr In this video tutorial, I’m going to show you how to apply noise stacking to your HDR workflow. This will enable you to shoot hand-held at high ISO settings and come away with clean images without applying a high dose of noise reduction in post-processing. Noise has always been a problem in HDR photography. Especially if you shoot your source images hand-held with a high ISO settin...

This doesn't work if the masks are mostly white. Say you have a small amount of black on the left for the first mask, and a small amount on the right for the second, it doesn't work because the second selection overwrites the first. The only way to do it in this case would be to invert the masks first, copy them, paste the combined mask and then invert it back again.
